WOLVES FANS ABLE TO JOIN NEW CLUB 03-11-2009 Wheelchair bound Wolves fan Brendan King who has been deprived of his regular parking spot at Molineux this season is setting up Disabled Supporters Association to help others in a similar plight. Brendan, from Dudley, has been campaigning for weeks on The Stirrer after both he and another loyal supporter Thomas Jones were disqualified from using bays close to the ground following the introduction of new rules. The story has gone national in the last few days with an airing on BBC Five Live, and has finally been picked up by the Express and Star. It looks as though all the publicity has had an effect, with the football club pledging to meet Brendan before the end of the season to discuss his concerns. Now he’s got the bit between his teeth, the Molineux regular wants to set up a Disabled Supporters Association, arguing that Wolves Fans Parliament, “is a talking shop forum which has no clout - just a publicity front for the Wolves management”. Anyone who’s interested in joining should contact editor@thestirrer.com and we’ll pass on your details. DISCUSS THIS ON THE STIRRER FORUM |
