WE’LL KEEP AXON THE QUESTIONS

Wolverhampton Council announced six months ago it was scrapping its controversial business transformation deal with Axon – so why has no more been said about it since a confidential report leaked to The Stirrer in December was withdrawn?

As we revealed last week, the Council threatened us with High Court action unless we handed over details of the source of the document, which was published on our Forum just before Christmas.

We refused of course, and successfully called their bluff – but the issue doesn’t end there.

It’s six months now since the report was pulled, leaving councillors and taxpayers in the dark about how much they’ll have to stump up to cancel the deal.

Council leader Neville Patten has been curiously silent on the issue.

C’mon Granpa, no more secrecy - let’s know the damage.
