THE EAGLES (NIA, July 7 and 8)

16-12-2008

The Eagles

Top American West Coast pioneers The Eagles have now announced a second date at the NIA - proving that some acts are recession proof. Tickets for the latest show - priced between £50 and £100 - go on sale today.

To some of us, they've never been quite the same since Joe Walsh added his mainstream rock heroics to the original alt.country formula - but as that was 31 years, maybe the time has come to forgive and forget!

All joshing aside, last year's Long Road Out Of Eden went multi-platinum without giving away the fact that it was their first studio album in 28 years - although it's the denim-clad hits of the 70s that the punters will be queuing for.
