STIRRER HOSTS BIRMINGHAM COUNCIL ELECTION COVERAGE

Stirrer editor Adrian Goldberg is hosting Birmingham’s official web coverage of the local elections on Thursday night. Results and interviews will be streamed live on the City Council website.

It’s the first time Brum has taken on the challenge of live election coverage via the internet, and will allow citizens to check out how their result has influenced the overall outcome.

Chief Executive and Returning Officer Stephen Hughes said: “In an increasingly digital age it is ever more important we seek out new and innovative methods through which to keep the citizens of Birmingham and beyond up-to-date with all our latest news and developments.

"Election night is one of the most important events in our entire year, the night when the citizens of Birmingham really have the power to have their say on how the council is performing and directly influence its future."
