MARK RONSON (Wolverhampton Civic Hall, May 6)

Winner of the Brit award for British Male Solo Artist 2008, ex-pat NYC dweller, DJ to the stars and producer of multi-million selling albums, Mark Ronson is very much the man of moment and he's coming to the Civic Hall in May - better grab those tickets quickly when they go on sale tomorrow morning.

If only for his wonderful re-working of "Valerie" with Amy Winehouse, Ronson would be a bit of a hero, but he's got a serious back story as a hip hop DJ who made his name on the New York club scene in 1993.

He was soon one of the most respected jocks in the city, and was being called on for celebrities' private parties before crossing over as a pop star in his own right.

Another coup for the Civic.
