“FAMILY REASONS” FORCE LADYWOOD TORY TO QUIT

28-01-2010

The Tories prospective general election candidate for Ladywood has confirmed that he’s standing down – as revealed yesterday on The Stirrer. Billesley councillor Colin Hughes cites “family reasons” for his decision.

He told The Stirrer, “It’s regrettable, but I’m going to drop out for family reasons.

“There’s been no falling out – they’re the best bunch of people we’ve had in Ladywood for a few years.

“But with the election about 100 days away, I just can’t give them the time they deserve.”
