West Bromwich residents have got the chance to make sure their town gets on the telly courtesy of fashion makeover icon Gok Wan. But be quick about it.

If you live in or can get to West Bromwich town centre today, you’ve got a chance to grab some media attention. The production team from the Channel 4 hit show Gok's Fashion Fix will be visiting The Public and getting out and about in West Bromwich town centre to talk to people.

Assistant producer Maria said: “We want to take the show to the people who want it most. So we like to come and talk to people about it and see where we get the best reaction. We hope to meet lots of locals.”

The Public managing director Linda Saunders said: “It would be great for West Bromwich to host a hit tv show. We're all delighted to welcome the team and hoping they'll want to come back soon!”

So if you want Gok to come to town, and let’s face it, the Public needs all the good publicity it can get, here’s what you can do. First of all, make sure you’re at the Public today between 12.30 and 2.30pm to meet the production team.

Or, if you’re over 18 and would like to be considered for Gok's ultimate makeover and receive a brand new wardrobe, contact the team by email: Gokmakeover@endemoluk.com or by post Gok's Team 5thFloor, Endemol, Shepherd's Building Central, Charecroft Way, London, W14 OEE.

The winning town will be the one that generates most applications, and the show will be filmed in May.
