BIRMINGHAM CREATES BLOGGING BATTLE

The Created in Birmingham website is in the running for a prestigious national blogging award – and only the Daily Mail’s right wing ranter Melanie Phillips stands in their way.

CiB – founded by Pete Ashton and now run by Chris Unitt with the aim of promoting the city’s creative industries– is in second place behind Phillips in the annual Weblog Awards.

Given that substantial national kudos would accrue from actually taking the title, we’re more than happy to throw our weight behind it’s bid to achieve No.1 spot.
